Organizations Supported By ISHP
The roots to Hollywood HEART (Hope, Education, Art, Recreation, and Therapy) began in 1995 as a not-for-profit organization founded to address the social and recreational needs of children affected by HIV and AIDS. The children are encouraged to make new friends, increase their self-esteem, talk about their fears and feelings. In some cases, for the first time in their lives, they learn what it is like to be embraced rather than rejected. Hollywood Heart includes, Camp Pacific Heartland, a summer camp program for children and adolescents infected and affected by HIV and AIDS, The Movie Team, a unique filmmaking workshop for at-risk children to write, direct, produce and star in their own short films, and Camp Hollywood Heart a visual and performing arts camp for teens impacted by HIV and AIDS.
Driven by a mission of providing an effective conduit for the donation of products, goods and services from the private sector to the charitable sector, Gifts In Kind International distributes more than $750 million in new product donations to deserving community charities throughout the USA and across the world. Gifts In Kind also manages the transportation and logistics efforts for donated products. Ranked as one of the most cost-efficient charities in the world, Gifts In Kind International operates at less than 1 percent of the value of products, goods and services contributed annually.
ISHP encourages vendors to review their current inventory and contact our ISHP President with items that may be of benefit to Gifts In Kind. In addition to assisting those in need, your company’s donation may qualify for a tax deduction of up to twice the cost. As always, Gifts In Kind’s donation management services are free of charge to participating donor companies.
