Hollywood Heart – www.hollywoodheart.org
The roots to Hollywood HEART (Hope, Education, Art, Recreation, and Therapy) began in 1995 A not-for-profit organization, it was founded to address the social and recreational needs of children affected by HIV an AIDS. The children are encouraged to make new friends, increase their self-esteem, talk about their fears and feelings. In some cases, for the first time in their lives they learn what it is like to be embraced rather than rejected. The program also includes “Movie Team”, a unique filmmaking workshop for inner city children to write, direct, produce and star in their own short films. This camp allows children to take a small vacation from the stress and stigma of living in a family impacted by HIV/AIDS.
ISHP organizes and supports a yearly fund raiser benefiting Hollywood Heart. This event is held each September during the HD – Boutique Expo in Miami and brings together purchasers, specifiers, designers and vendors for a wonderful evening of networking. From the financial donations contributed to ISHP by the vendors, a once a year contribution is made to Hollywood Heart.

ISHP encourages vendors to review their current inventory and contact our ISHP President with items that maybe of benefit to Gifts In Kind. In addition to assisting those in need, your company’s donation may qualify for a tax deduction of up to twice the cost. As always, Gifts In Kind’s donation management services are free of charge to participating donor companies.
